this last friday was friday the 13th. i don’t understand how people REALLY believe weird or scary shit happens on this day. i’m not a supersticious guy, though when i played hockey in college, no one was allowed to touch my hockey sticks after i freshly taped them. i didn’t want the goals to rub off.
comedy loser is back this month. the date of the show is june 24 and it’ll be a gooder one.
i’m trying to like movies again. i’ve gone back in time, and i started with police academy movies, weekend at bernies, and trading places as movies to remind me of what is good about movies – or at least, of a time when i like movies. i think i was between 8-10 yrs old when those movies came out. i remember liking them alot, and watching them again, i still like them. i’m not sure i hate movies, maybe just the hollywood machine that hypes total bullshit, baby food for the simple folks to love. i’m trying to enjoy movies again – and it hurts.
i had a great fathers day with my girls. golf, dim sum, and sleep.
i’m in edmonton this week for a wack of shows and workshops. i plan on taking in some of the improvaganza comedy festival at rapid fire theatre. can anyone recommend restaurants, breakfast places, general good hangs in edmonton?
