A COMEDY BLOG, OF SORTS
i don’t have thousands of readers on this blog, but the readership has built steadily since i started blogging again. at least once a week i’ll get an email asking why my blog is slanted towards posting “comedy stuff” rather than “personal stuff” and i guess i just see this as a way of ‘sharing’ but ‘not sharing too much.’ don’t we all know people, that once asked about how their day is going, they start to talk about how,
“last night i drank 2 bottles of red wine and ate 4 tylenol 3′s cuz i just hate my fucking life. ya know my depression is really bad right now, and i’ve been cutting myself ALOT lately, i just don’t know what to do. america’s next top model is my favourite show but it regresses my eating disorder – so, that’s a tough one for me. hey, should we go for a smoke and an ice cap from tim hortons…the boss isn’t around…fuck it, let’s go.”
i don’t want to be “one of those guys”, and not that i cut myself or drink or try and OD on T3′s, just because i don’t blog that way.

i made this video, NOT in protest, but rather too show people how ridiculous it sounds when ‘pitching’ your show to your friends or to whomever. i’ve done the fringe, and i am a producer, but, i’ve always tried to have a succinct message when pitching my show to folks when asking them to come out and see it. this has not been my experience in the last month or two. enjoy.
