website update
hello everyone, or, hello no one. i’ve switched my website over, and it is a work in progress for sure, but, i’m happy with the way it’s been going. right now it is pretty plain looking and not spectacular in the funny department, but, i do have alot of plans for the content on the site and if all goes the way i hope, i’ll have new content ready on a daily basis. i basically taking it “one page at a time” and trying to sure up the backend stuff in the site before i go to crazy with content and widgets and virtual dancing penguins that recite my material at the click of a button.
comedy to do list
it’s going to be a busy fall. here is a loose to do list, both for myself, and for others to get an update as i’ve had emails about future classes, shows, etc.. so here it is:
- comedy loser – season two launch on sept. 23/08 (tentative). i am going to be starting to take bookings into the show, so, if you’ve got a solo piece that isn’t standup email me and let me know.
- cowboy and indian – the show merke and i are putting together at a “sorta secret new place” is still being worked on by aaron and myself. fyi – i’m the indian and merke is the cowboy. the show is a comedy variety show, it’ll feature aaron and i, but we’ll cast sketches, feature local ass kickers, and we’ll have live music in the mix. merke and i have worked hard on the concept and we even got a little ‘art faggy’ with it, but, it’ll be a fun show that really makes us work hard at writing, developing, and performing good shit.
- mp3 sketch comedy project – it’s coming. not sure when, and frankly, when i talked with some radio people and some producers, it seems like i should really think bigger with this one, and frankly, i can’t. i don’t have time or money to put into it “the way it should be done”, so if anybody wants the project, it’s yours. apparently sms sketch comedy is not something being done yet (sketch comedy that is viewable on cell phones, ipods, etc., but it’s totally possible to set up a pay site for $XXXX/month for unlimited video casts, or podcasts, etc. again, take it if you want it. the world needs comedy on cell phones – as fucked as that may seem.
- my play, don’t call me chief was not accepted into weesageechack this year. it was not finished when submitted (couldn’t help it really, still not sure how it ends), and it really has a long way to go. i got some really good positive feedback from the panel at native earth. since submitting the play has grown to nearly 80 pages and has survived a number of gigantic rewrites. i love the piece so i continue to shop it around.
- clarence two toes – i know a documentary (really a mocumentary for all of you asking) about clarence was promised and about 80% of it is done. i’ve ran out of steam trying to finish editing it. a producer friend of mine told me he could help me have it done in about two hours, from start to finish, and i’m going to take him up on that. so. i’ll probably scrap my piecemeal version of it, and re-record the work with him. it’ll be good to have it done and over with and when i know when it’s going to be out - you’ll know to. deal?
- the theresa’s minnow shack commercial collection will be launched when my website is launched. look for it on sept. 1/08.
- w.i.m.p. #2 is on it’s way. look out.
