Comedy Loser Season & Comedy at the King’s Head Stuff

Comedy Loser is turning 2 on Sept. 9/08.  The show that brings the ‘alternative’ to ‘alternative’ is back for another season at the King’s Head.  I’m hosting the shows again this year and I cannot wait until we begin.  This is my favourite show in the world to work on, the cast and guest performers are ridiculous and weird and funny, and the show has gained an awesome following because it is truly a show that you NEVER know what you’ll see at a Comedy Loser.

For those of you that have never been to a Comedy Loser show – what the hell is your problem.  HAHAHA.  LOL.  I’m so crazy.

Anyway, for those of you that haven’t seen it, it’s an “ALTERNATIVE COMEDY SHOW, ALL SOLO PERFORMERS, NO STANDUP COMEDY ALLOWED.”  It’s modelled after an amazing show that a friend of mine produces in Toronto called “The Loner Show”.  Comedy Loser kicks ass and it’s being launched in two weeks.  Fight the power!

Comedy at the King’s Head Stuff

After an awesome meeting with the guys that I produce shows with at the King’s Head Pub, we’ve decided on a master plan, a schedule, and the ‘who’s doing what’ for this upcoming season of “Comedy at the King’s Head.”  Way more information about the season at the King’s Head will be flowing soon with a NEW NAME for the nights, A WEBSITE for everyone to keep up to date with what’s happening when, AND A BRAND NEW IMPROV SHOW that joins the weekly rotation this season.

This promises to be the best season yet, but, we need your help.  If you love comedy, and if you love Winnipeg comedy, start telling folks that the Tuesday night’s at the King’s Head are off all the hooks, or are awesome like peanut butter and jam, or that they rock harder than a shitty cover band at a redneck bar in Thompson, Manitoba.

So how far west to you go to perform? Though there aren’t many comedy gigs around my digs (hey, that rhymed), I’d let to check out one of your shows. So call one of these casinos in northern Minnesota and tell them Jon R. told you to call them. It probably won’t help but sure would sound cool to say. And you need some more video posts and shit. Rock on!
