old & new
if there is such a thing as a “blessing” i think i had one the other day. as some of you “clarence stalkers” know, i was working on releasing a new episode of “THE CLARENCE TWO TOES RADIO SHOW” the other day and for some reason it just wouldn’t load onto my server. i’ve had some troubles with dreamhost before so i thought it was just another shitty day with my host – but – i emailed their service dep’t and i was assured that in fact, nothing was wrong. i tried to upload episode 11 two more times and it just wouldn’t work. a few days passed and the more i thought about uploading the episode the more i started to think maybe it wasn’t meant to be. i decided to try it one more time – did – and it didn’t work (keeps timing out) and i decided to say FUCK IT.
a day or so passed and i started to think more about it – and i came to decide – i’m going to retire that podcast. the clarence two toes radio show was the most fun i’ve ever had with the character. for those of you reading this that don’t know what the hell the show is about – go to the clarence two toes radio show page on this site and listen, then come back and read the rest of this post. for those of you that do know what it is – thank you for listening and laughing. to improvise the entire show (yes, it was ALWAYS IMPROVISED), edit it, post it, deal with hate mail, and deal with some love mail as well, it taught me alot about where i want to go with the character and my writing.
the complete series (though, it’s not really a series) is 10 episodes and they’re available to download on iTunes, on this website, and i’ve seen them floating around on other podcast sites. please have a listen if you haven’t done so, and please pass them on to whomever you think would get a laugh at them. at over 40 000 downloads now, in just over a years time, i’m really happy with the exposure that the project brought me. i thank everyone that downloaded it, passed it on, reposted it, etc. comedy is bullshit with an audience and i thank you all. i owe each and everyone of you in a profound way. meegwetch.
AND.
something new is on it’s way. it’ll still be clarence two toes, it’ll still be a comedy podcast available for download, but it’ll be a lot different than the last one. so with that, check back here on this website on monday, april 20th for the NEW clarence two toes project.
