I’ve been tweeting and putting it on my facebook status for the last few days and it’s all starting to come together now – I’m recording my first comedy CD this March in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on Friday March 12, 2010. The location is yet to be determined, probably in the theatre at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
I’m excited and can hardly believe the time is approaching so quickly. I’ve got some work to do to make sure my jokes are solid and that I have the proper flow to my act and what I’ll be including in my live show. The CD will be recorded live at the theatre and the show will probably run about 2 hours long. On the night I’ll be doing my standup AND my more alternative material together. One of the challenges of being a comic is that I have to make my material “clean” for some audiences that I play to and at other times I am able to “let ‘er fly” with other audiences. I think my CD recording will be a mix of both.
I’m going to be having a fundraiser near the end of February to help offset some of the costs to self producing the album and I’m hoping to give ya’ll a killer fundraiser show full of my favourite comedians and musicians in exchange for 10 of your dollars.
I’ve got a “NAME MY CD” contest coming and once I have all the prizes and details to that – I’ll announce it here on my website. For now though SUBSCRIBE to my blog and you’ll get all of the info sent to you EMAIL whenever I post more information. How awesome is that? Pretty awesome.
