What Am I Getting Myself Into?
New for 2010 on my website – I’m taking requests. You can request a blog post about “something” OR you can request a new video from me. If it’s funny, and you want it made, let’s do it.
I don’t know if this will work or not – but what the hell. I found a cool new “toy” to add to my website called “SKRIBIT.” Basically, it’s a plug-in that I’ve added to the site to send me suggestions on topics/themes that you’d like to see me write about here on my blog. I’ll take video requests as well.
I really believe in the power and importance of community. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is to share ideas/words/comedy with folks and it all makes it worthwhile when I’m able to get feedback (good or bad) and I’m able to gauge how it’s received. I’m trying to have some fun, generate some new ideas, and also engage the beautiful folks that frequent this website. Let’s build something cool together? The best way to stay up to date is to subscribe with RSS or EMAIL on my website. When I send updates – you’ll be the first to know. I’ll do my best to make all the responses funny and “worth it” for you to take the time and request it.
Here’s how I think it’ll work for now:
- Blog Posts: just post a topic, theme, question or suggestion using the Scribet feature. Plain and simple. Expect a 2 day turn around on this.
- Video Posts: I’ll need three things – a prop, a location, and a relationship. That’ll give me enough fuel to come up with something good to write, shoot, edit. I really look forward to trying out the video suggestions. Expect a 7 day turnaround on this.
- Best way to know when they’re posted – SUBSCRIBE via RSS and EMAIL.
So, I’m turning over the reigns to you fine folks. The process is simple – click the “SUGGESTIONS” tab on the right hand side of my website – post what you want – and I’ll get to it. Now, if this really takes off, I’ll have to figure out a way to sift through what I can actually do, but for now, let’s have at ‘er. Post away maniacs.
